Just want Chip to know that I appreciate the time he has taken to post the BOD Agenda, and updates of the discussions that take place at the BOD meetings.

I attended the whole meeting as did JT for most of it. Jay and Glen? were there too. It was a pleasure to witness Larry's keen intellect and Joe Greblo's extensive knowledge of all the issues but the highlight for me was Ken Andrews stepping foward aggressivly to get the Gazebo issue to move foward from its stalled heading. In essence the gazebo was approved. I pushed for a vote to be taken on the $2,500 refurbishment option with details to be deligated to a sub commitee and a completion date before the flying season because the board has enough information to act. The consensus was to follow Ken's idea, the current plan to get three proposals and finish by the Dahlston Cup.
The big issue on the horizon could "reformat the hard drive of hang gliding in Sylmar", the conditional use permit. It could affect every pilot and could give us benefits in exchange for conditions. It could take less than a year but most likely 2 years.
