If you have old eyes and are interested in bifocal sunglasses for flying, I just tried these at Dunlap and they are easily the best and the best deal I have found. The magnifier portion is just at the bottom of the lens and smaller, so it doesn't get in the way at all for normal flying, but is there for your instruments. Works best if the instrument is below you on the base bar, though.

$12.68, no tax, no shipping if you order a couple of them. Nothing fancy, but they work great for me.

"Old Fart"
I hate to admit that I belong to the category of "Old Fart"
but thanks for the tip - I just ordered a pair.
I'm lucky so far. I have trouble lately with a few things up close, but my instruments are far enough away and the size of the text is large enough that I can read them. So far.
I DO have to turn the volume up all the way on my Flytec, though. 75% isn't quite enough. And on my old tangent, I could barely hear it at full volume, even though I had it modified to be louder than normal. Sigh.
As my kid brother said to me the other day "I do not find it amusing in the least that I am turning 50. I am going to find those responsible and there will be punishment."
