Just a quick note of my blown tandem launch today (Wednesday) at Kagel. I'll do up a report under the accident colum in the forum, but until then suffice to say that we were fortunate to settle softly into the bushes without a scratch to either of us.
The short story is there were reasonably strong winds of 20 + mph and very consistent. I was surprised by what I thought was a very brief lull that turned out to be a long one. I failed to pour on enough speed and caught a right tip on the bushes below and flat spun into the 10 ft. tall bushes.

Rare video clip of blown tandem launch
I checked the Kagel Kam and saw the blown launch. The right wing tip went along the ground making a line of dust. I took the frames the Kagel Kam deposited in my temporary internet files directory, reordered them by time sequence, put the images into windows movie maker with a 1 second delay between images, rendered the movie, and posted it on youtube.

...jk... it looked like it was really windy/gusty up there. Glad everyone was ok with just bruised ego's.
