Kate Freemantle is in Holy Cross Hospital

Post by WingNutz »

Sunday, Kate had a hard landing and had to be carted to Holy Cross Hospital, where they found that pounding in had -freekin - lacerated her liver. She's there until Friday, at least.

She's vegetarian and eats fish, but the hospital isn't doing a very good job of feeding her. (Beef stew on monday, e.g. )

She's in the CCU (Chronic Complainers' Unit) Room 205. They don't allow flowers, but you can visit her, and bring her food, any time except 7-8:30, am, and pm, when the doctors are making rounds.

Telephone 818 365-8051 (general number) and ask to speak to Kate in the CCU. The hospital is at 15031 Rinaldi in Mission Hills.

Let her know we're thinking of her.

I saw Kate yesterday and she looked great... until I explained to Lisa that the clock above Kate's bed didn't start up until Kate's heart stopped.

She's eating better than any other patient there due to CARE packages smuggled in by friends.

She did mention that she would rather not have calls - relatives have kind of burned her out - but does enjoy visits.

She was to move from the glad-I'm-not-in-here unit yesterday evening, as soon as they found a bed on the floor.

She is still scheduled to leave on Friday evening to return home for recuperation from the rest (boredom) at the hospital.

And, sadly, she won't be able to sample the homebrew until her liver is fully recovered.

You're right, Kate sounds great. She's been moved to room 457 and scheduled to be released (oh, glory hallelujah) tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you for placing her contact info on the forum.

According to the hospital, Kate was released today. Yipee!!! I haven't talked to her yet, but assuming the hospital hasn't just lost her ;-) , she should be home.
