Jeff Craig Is Recovering from a heart attack.

Post by WingNutz »

Jeff Craig suffered a heart attack yesterday in the LZ after flying.

Andy Beem took him to Olive View emergency room, where he laid on a gurney for an hour before anyone saw him. He was transferred to Harbor UCLA hospital, and had a stent implanted this morning.

He will get out of the CCU tomorrow and might go home Sunday.

He's feeling weak and doesn't need any calls for a day or so.

Jeff called me Saturday evening from the Hospital - he sounded Great!

I spoke to Jeff again Sunday evening and he was at home. He said he was doing fine but at particular time he was feeling tired.

Glad to hear that you are doing better. And glad to hear it happened on the ground instead of in the air....

Hope to see you in the air whenever is appropriate for you.

And the rest of you, listen to him. All that he said and excercise too!

Just a side note. Don't assume that you are ok if your cholesterol was low last time you checked it. Mine was extremely low for years. Then all of a sudden, with no warning it went high & stayed there. Turns out that isn't all that uncommon.... Although mine really was uncommonly low (127ish) until it went past 17,999.... Is that a gain of altitude record??? ;-)

Hey don't put down Olive View man. They saved my life and were very nice to me. I was laid out with a bad appendix, no insurance, no job and they took care of me. Despite being put in the same room with some crazy nut in the next bed over. I just can't help feeling that I left a little piece of me behind.
