That'd be great, but the odds aren't good. I could be wrong (I'm not a PG pilot), but the current launch doesn't look to me to be safe for a PG. And you'd have to find one that works near Glacier point. Then you'd have to set up the same type of system that the HG pilots have with site monitors etc. Could it be done? I think so. Would it be simple or easy. Not on your life.

But I do wish you luck if you try to get it set up. I think it would be a good thing.

You probably right, launch doesn't look friendly.

Well, if local pilots could not set it up (I know about couple attempts in the past), than it is unlikely one pilot from LA could help. But I'm optimist, so I believe some day it will happened :)

There are two other sites in West Sierra, which is available for PG: Dunlap and Tollhouse. Views (especially from Dunlap) to Kings Canyon are spectacular:
