Phil Bloom has suggested that pilots begin posting their plans to fly on weekdays in advance to allow like-minded flyers to meet, whatever their level.
Originally, several of us met two years ago on a Thursday and enjoyed a memorable flight that included my low save at Big T wash. The three of us decided to call our gathering the Thursday Club and we thought we should meet weekly, if possible. Last Thursday was the next meeting; not so good at regularity.
Anyway, Phil and I discussed trying to be more inclusive of other pilots of all levels, not for rides or mentoring necessarily but just for the comraderie and special experience of stealing back a weekday from work with friends.
So, interested pilots may post in the Ride Share section of the forum their intent to invoke a meeting of the "Thursday Club" which can actually take place any day M-F; W-F preferred.
Some will be frequent flyers (Phil: talk to Ron about posting regularly, Janyce we all know you fly everyday but post anyway) and some, such as Rob and I, will have to be content with the occasional vacation day.
Once this is used (IF), you may all find you enjoy knowing there'll be company in the sky.
