i sincerely believe that no one could possibly learn from my mistakes.
i do, however, intend to discuss them with Greblo.
suffice it to say i violated the principal rules of aviation:
1. keep you sh** together.
2. don't f*** up.
i sincerely thank my friends for their well-wishes and offers of help.
please don't call if you are on a detail-vampiring spree. i'm just not up to it.
thanks,

"You HAVE to make it..."

I love how dedicated you are to our sport. I am glad this little incident isn't going to scare you away - everyone screws up from time to time. Hell, I knocked myself out cold landing once at Chelan while people were taking photos (there is actually a photo of me feeling to see if my teeth were still attached ). It was very embarrassing and very humbling. With each mistake I have made (one of which I won an award for), and seen others make, I have gained valuable knowledge and been reminded of the dangers of our sport which I think is very healthy.
I don't know what your hang gliding goals are (although you have proved they are ambitious) but just keep in mind that you will get there... just be patient and it will happen.
I am sure you learned a great deal from whatever mistake it was you made and that is great experience; you will walk away from this a much better pilot. I think knowing what NOT to do is way more important that knowing what to do in hang gliding.
I am very glad you were not more severely injured and I can't wait to fly with you now that I am back at Kagel.
Your dedication reminds me of me; and I am happy to lend you any advice, albeit limited considering I am still relatively new myself (I am no “hang 5), if you like.
I have a vision of you on the women's world team kicking ass one day so keep up the good work...
Keep your head up and keep flying hard.

What no accident report?
Hey,
Why isn't anyone demanding you submit an accident report? You not giving back to the community is disconcerting.
Although the pictures are a nice graphic representation of something about to go terribly bad.
