Ron, Phill & I flew from Kagel to Crestline today (Monday, March 24.) Joe Greblo landed a few miles short after an interestingly tough glide from Cucamonga.
It wasn't an easy day. Every one of us made some low saves. Every one of us thought about landing. But the day was good enough that at the key locations we could get up high enough to continue. It was very good just West of Cucamonga: 9k or thereabouts. But from Wilson to that point was not easy. And it was almost as tough from Lukens to Wilson.
Ron beat us all there. He launched and landed first. Phill and Joe pulled off one of the coolest saves I've seen right over the Duarte(?) golf course, where they expected to land. Good job guys!
