Projected wind for saturday is WSW. Might be a good day to launch the 1500 and go downwind. Maybe I can sneak in a landing on Kagel. That way, if I blow it, there is a good possibility there will be a truck to transport the wreckage back down the hill. I'll be in the LZ the usual 11 o'clock meeting time.

Change of plans for me and I won't be able to fly the League this Saturday. At least I finally got the League article finished for the USHPA Magazine.

Falcon League, Saturday August 29

Everyone's clearly figured out the pattern. This Saturday is a Falcon League day, so plan to meet in the LZ at 11:00 with a single surface glider. The goal for the day depends, as always, on the weather we find that morning. If it grants us some altitude, then I think the obvious call is to launch somewhere dependable (Towers?), get high over the 2200, go over the back to Sand Canyon, and keep going for distance if possible. Imagine flying a Falcon from Kagel to Parker Mountain, or El Mirage, or Barstow...
