Comparing hang gliding to paragliding is like apple to oranges, you can have a preference but its dumb to claim ones better if you haven,t tried the other. I don,t think we have to excel over over visiting pilots as a group , is jc trying to promote some kind of tribalism ? You don,t have to be good at it to enjoy it ! Trying to gain admiration of others showing off superior skill can be a real danger . Thanks for the mention in the Hero section but Daryl got left out , he did most of the manual labor , nailing ect all wile putting up with my constant verbal abuse and smug superior attitude.

no tribalism. i'm just sayin' that we king-posted pilots who don't fly beyond the 1500' or lances, aren't really good enough to show off, talk smack about OTHER beginners, or pick on novice pg pilots. every one of us has lost thermals, flown right through lift, sunk out, and entered thermals like a toddler on a tricycle. the people who ARE good enough to judge don't (at least online)...

W.T.F. op ? Your scaring away prospective PG,ers !! You must spend a lot of time viewing PG videos , I haven,t seen that one,you sure your not resisting your true nature? I think jc is ready, Three seconds later the above wing was probably back to normal , I can recall a lot of broken hg falling video, and they -stayed that way. Might add broken strings are usually free , whats a down tube cost ? Also if you want to travel ? a 23#bag that fits in an airplane over head , taxi ,s rickshaw ,.or just having to hike with. Let,s compare the merits . Catch me at the lz sometime you might be my first and only convert...
