Can't get any respect from the Oz Report
Rob's world FAI record is posted to the...
Andy Jackson Flight Park!
See in today's Oz Report at http://ozreport.com/13.85#2.
Their site gets the credit, but at least BudRob gets recognized.

Re: Can't get any respect from the Oz Report
I sent this to Davis and it's not the first time our club sites have been mixed up on the Oz Report. Besides, it's Andy Jackson Airpark and not, Flight Park. Anyhow, I thought it was both topical as well as humorous.Groundhog wrote:Rob's world FAI record is posted to the...

Yup! That part was MY typo. That's what I get for not triple-proofing my emails when I'm down with a virus. That, or maybe the SHGA will becoming more equine friendly than we already are? Or perhaps, the state of CA doesn't want us reproducing? Lots of possibilities! Maybe this is an attempt to get more tenors into our glee club? Has anyone here seen the film about the Castrati http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109771/?TomS wrote:What's a Hang gelding association?(oz report) Anything to do with improperly adjusted leg straps? It happens so often that there's an association? I have to get out more.
I wonder if the Gophers will try the trick that the moles have learned to avoid Rob?

Fly High; Fly Far; Fly Safe -- George
After going without a hit for nearly 2 weeks, gophers number 39 and 40 stepped up and were whacked today!
Lawn update: I am continuing to reseed selected small patches in and near the breakdown area, from the trees to about 30 feet in. I have placed the usual sticks with white flags near each patch area but I don't have enough sticks to surround them. Each newly seeded area is obvious to those who look because they have no grass and have a dark seed cover soil on them. Please DO NOT step on the newly planted areas!

I want to publicly thank Rob for the gopher and grass work.
I started to do something about the grass a few years ago, but nothing even close to the scale that Rob is doing. * Then I ran into the "Not enough time to even do the minimum" problem. That then got worse. Heck, I don't have time to go FLYING right now, let alone mess with grass! And I guarantee you that if I do get time, it will be for flying, not lawncare!
So, THANK YOU ROB for doing what we all know needs doing, but don't have the time or inclination to do.
* In fact, my efforts in lawncare were pretty small. They were just enough for me to appreciate the work he is doing, and to understand the fact that there's more work there than most of us realize.

Our Grass is starting to look better than the Andy Jackson airpark. We certainly have less gophers. When we were out there for the Rob Mckenzie USHPA Presidential Citation awarded fly in bbq day, we walked the LZ and I joked "OK now release the gophers". Bud Rob has done a great job and makes constant changes to his strategy.
It Should also be mentioned that Max repaired the lawnmower carburetor, wheels, belts, and battery. You may have noticed its easier to walk your glider out of the wash too.

Whacks 41 and 42 were scored today, with me having to play tug of war with my "goat" to get number 41 back after she took it out of the hole before I could. Those LZ goats really like to eat gophers when they get the chance!
No new traps have been set as I cannot detect any new gopher activity (today). I am now declaring our LZ gopher free. I know that I have made this statement before and have had to do in a few since then. However, TODAY I can find no more.
I too would like to thank Max for the lawn mower repair and doing all the mowing recently. The grass needs to be mowed more often now that it is growing so fast and mowing is overdue. I hope Max or somebody else climbs back onto that mower soon. I'm not sure exactly whose job mowing is; I just know for sure it's NOT MINE!
Somebody (Max?) needs to step up and declare themselves"process owner" of lawn mowing as I have for all other lawn care. If nobody is interested, I might be persuaded to do it now and again but will still need max to show me how everything works...

Rob declared war on 2/22/09 and as of 6/4/09 has scored 46.
When will wack #100 take place?
I'm guessing ~ 12/31/09.
Thanks Rob for all the hard work
