Dear Friends and Fellow Pilots,

As you may have heard, our dear friend and fellow HG Pilot, Larry Chamblee, has passed on. Larry had a deep love for hang gliding, and for our club. He served as our club secretary and legal advisor until the day he passed. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Larry is survived by the love of his life, Kimberly Winick.

Kimberly has requested a Celebration of Life for Larry on May 17th, 2025 in the LZ, and we are happy and honored to host. We are targeting around 15:00 for the missing man formation, to kick off the celebration. If you plan to attend, I suggest you arrive in the LZ on or before 14:00. All normal flight operations will cease at 13:00. If you are in the air, please plan on being on the ground no later than 14:30.

Kimberly will be catering the event with Larry’s favorite food and drink. I look forward to seeing all of you there. If you know of a pilot, past or present, who should know about this, please pass on this information. Thank you!
