For those who have never walked/seen the alternative bailout LZ at the dam – first of all, shame, shame on you – Joe Greblo has volunteered to tour the area with pilots on Saturday, April 19th and/or Sunday, April 20th.  Since that LZ is short in stature (like me and Travis), Joe will discuss how to approach an RLF (restricted landing field, where the entire approach has to be within a one hundred foot square).  On the same day(s), he plans to have the pilots (if Joe feels their skill level is up to it) fly Kagel, then land in the normal LZ with an RLF approach.  This is a very important technique to have if/when pilots begin flying cross country.  The price per pilot is $60, plus the normal fee to drive up to launch.  Let me know if you’re interested as spots will be limited.  RSVP (French for Rice Served Very Plain) to fly@windsports.com.  Thanks!
